Welcome Back

Dear P3 Parents and Students:

We are excited to begin the 2013-2014 school year in P3.  We look forward to seeing some familiar faces and meeting new ones.  We hope everyone enjoyed the summer and have good memories.  This year will be filled with many interesting lessons, fun field trips, and many opportunities for Foothills families to get together.  Teaching your child is a tremendous responsibility and we will foster motivating learning experiences in the upcoming year.  However, we are partners in this learning process.  Throughout the year we will communicate through our blog, telephone calls, emails, report cards, and parent teacher conferences.  We encourage you to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.  You can call us at school, send us written notes, or contact us by email.

Curruculum

The curriculum consists of Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, and Cultural which brings a balance between the child’s academic learning and social/emotional growth; and learn how to be an in independent learner.  Our year will begin with a lesson on the health and safety.  We will establish routines and rules in the classroom, and continue learning about the world we live in with a focus on each continent, our solar system, oceans, and rainforest.

Summer Sharing

If your child would like to share one photo, brochure, dairy page, or picture, picture have them bring it in a brown bag any day the first 2 weeks of school.  We are looking forward to hearing about some of your summer experiences.

Upcoming Events

August 22nd:  Meet and Greet Family Social 5:00-7:00pm.  We would like to take this opportunity to thank you in advance for your dedication and support throughout the year!  We look forward to meeting you soon.

Sincerely,

P3 Teachers
