Something’s Fishy in P3!

Dear P3 Families,

Can you believe it? It’s February! It’s the 6th month of school, where did the time go? Coming into the season of love, we would also like to wish you a very Happy Chinese New Year! May the Year of the Tiger bring you health, wealth, and happiness. We have kicked of the month learning about the ocean. The children are enjoying learning about the different living things in the sea, so the science area has been a favorite work area so far!

We are so proud of our Kindergarten friends, they have been so busy writing about fish and ocean life.

We have also begun our studies on people, places, and animals of Australia. We’ve enjoyed lessons on the different kinds of marsupials, and the parts of the kangaroo as well. The children have also been working on aboriginal symbols, and are learning about the famous landmarks as well! Uluru Rock, the biggest rock in the world, is their favorite and would love to visit! So book your tickets now for the summer, although it will be winter over there!

Our Valentines Day celebration will be on Monday, 2/14. The children will be decorating white bags (provided by school) to hold all their valentines from their friends. If you would like to bring valentines for the class, please refrain from bringing treats. Good alternatives are stickers, pencils, erasers, or tattoos. There are 34 friends in P3. If you have any questions please let us know!

P3 is also working on a special ocean project. Here is a sneak peak, we will so a big reveal on the next blog!
