Dear P3 Families,

Our field trip to the Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary was a blast! The children had a fantastic time holding baby chicks, talking to crazy cockatoos, and playing with the goats (even though two escaped from the pen, oops!). Not only were they able to see rescued South American birds, but they got to meet llamas, pigs, tortoises, and a peculiar looking donkey-mule as well. We would like to send a special “Thank you” to our parent chaperones who made this trip possible. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Another field trip is coming up on Tuesday, May 2^nd,from 8:30am-11:00am. We will be going to the Natural History Museum. Details and the chaperone sign-up sheet is posted outside our classroom. We appreciate all your help!

The children are very much enjoying our studies on South America and the animals of the rainforest. We have been learning about different types of birds, dissected flowers, and still eagerly waiting for our tadpole to grow legs! May is just around the corner and our themes for the month will be Africa, insects, and invertebrates.
