Happy Holidays P3 Families!
We have been hard at work this month in P3. The children have been working on many holiday projects and have been rehearsing their sing-a-long songs.
This month we have been studying Europe. We have learned about some of the different animals inhabiting the amazing countries on the continent. Alex’s mom came into our classroom and gave a wonderful presentation about Holland. She grew up there, and was able to share interesting stories and pictures with the students about this beautiful country.
Miss Alisa continued her holiday tradition this year and made latkes with the students. They helped to peel the potatoes and mix the ingredients. This year’s batch was extra delicious, and the pancakes were served with applesauce and sour cream! The students enjoyed learning about Hanukkah and the festival of lights!
Coco’s family did an extra fun cooking project with the friends! They made zucchini noodles with roasted tomato sauce! They got to put on gloves, smash the tomatoes, and learn about fresh herbs and vegetables while spiraling the zucchini! They loved this healthy dish! A great recipe to try together at home!
Gianna and Ava’s mothers came to our classroom to make beaded candy canes with the children for them to decorate their homes. The students came up with beautiful patterns and were able to work on their fine motor skills! They enjoyed sharing where they hung their candy canes the next day at school.
Our sing-a-long was a huge success! The children loved inviting their families into our classroom and sharing the songs that we have worked so hard on. This was a wonderful opportunity to highlight our grace and courtesy lessons while the children lead their families to the refreshment stand. The cookies were yummy and the holiday gifts were as cute as ever! Thank you for joining us for this special event!
Thank you to all of our families for the thoughtful and generous holiday gifts. It is a true pleasure to work with your children, and to feel such kindness and appreciation from you. All of the P3 teachers wish you the warmest holiday wishes and we will see you in 2016!!!
