Hello P3 families!
The past few weeks have been filled with fun activities. We took our field trip to Springs Preserve. The children enjoyed exploring all of the science activities and seeing the different desert animals. We learned about flash floods, and how we need to recycle and reduce our use of water here in Nevada.
We learned about some of the animals that live on the amazing continent of South America. These animals are some of the children’s favorite. They love learning about the rain forest and all of the many species of plants and animals that live there.
Our studies this month included learning about the parts of the bird.
We also learned about the parts of a chick.
We have started exploring the different layers of the rain forest: forest floor, understory, canopy and emergent layer.
Our Earth Day celebration was a lot of fun. Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers that helped to make this a special day for the students.
Lane’s family came to make “Earth Day Cookies” with the friends. They looked like the world after they were baked and tasted delicious!
