Moving Through March

Hello parents and welcome to our blog…Thank you for visiting!

On March 3rd, we had Chinese acrobats come to visit our school and put on an amazing show for the children.

On Friday, March 7th we had Parent/Teacher Conferences.  It was so great getting together with all our wonderful families and discussing all about our incredible students and their amazing progress.  Thank you for taking the time to allow us to share with you our thoughts.

We’ve started our studies on Asia and have learned about several different countries that make up Asia (China, Russia, India).  We discussed their culture, food, famous landmarks, language and clothing.  We learned about the Great Wall of China, Taj Mahal, and the Kremlin.

Ms. Maryam conducted a science experiment with the children using lentil beans.  She soaked them in water for a few days and the children observed the lentils over 3-4 days and watched them grow tiny leaves.

Our Kindergarteners started having “Fun Fridays” which involve cool art/science projects that relate to our themes for the month.  This past Friday, the children made Chinese hats with Chinese writings and pictures, and also made the Chinese flag.
