Ending 2013 in P3

Hello parents and welcome to our blog!

Wow – what huge support we recevied for our adopted family from the Salvation Army!  With all your help and generous donations, we raise approximately $475 and were able to purchase all the items requested in addition to $200 in gift cards for the family. Thank you  again for your very thoughtful and kind hearts.

This past week the students from E5 came to read holiday stories to us.  The children were very excited to be “hanging out” with the older students.

We also had Norbert and his parents (Austin’s dad and grandparents) visit our classroom this week to discuss their home country of Hungary.  Topics included various foods, climate, and culture that he grew up with.  Norbert also shared food with the children and showed pictures of various things in Hungary.

The children have been working very hard practicing their songs for our P3 Sing-a-Long which will be held on Thursday, December 19th @ 10:15am  Hope to see you all there!!

Just a reminder that Friday, December 20th is a half-day.  Dismissal is at 11:15am.

We would like to thank all our families for their warm, kind, and generous gifts throughout the week.  Your thoughtfulness is very much appreciated!  We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and a Happy New Year!!!

Holiday Poem:

The Gift of Knowing You

This Christmas season fills our hearts with joy

Bright happy days bring special kind of pleasure

We’re wrapped in the excitement of it all

The sights, the sounds, the smell, the tastes we treasure

Yet when we have some quiet time to think about our finest blessings all year through

We focus on our family and our friends

And appreciate the GIFT OF KNOWING YOU!!
