Hello Parents and Welcome to our blog. Thank you for visiting.
This week’s quote: “The things he sees are not just remembered; they form a part of his soul.” – Maria Montessori
What an exciting week!! From Spirit Week to Parent/Child Night and Valentine’s Day; the children were super busy with lots of things to do
We started the week discussing Abraham Lincoln and the many presidents that helped form our great nation. After more discussion with our Kindergarteners, they have decided to write a letter to President Obama and thanking him for all he does to help our country. We are still working on our letter and are eager to send it to the White House.
On Monday, all Kindergarteners attended an assembly that talked about “Being Kind” to others. They used puppets to demonstrate ways to be kind and ways to resolve conflicts.
In our cultural studies, we continued to learn about the different animals in Australia and discussed the ocean life and all the many creatures that make up the ocean world. We learned new songs related to Australia’s amazing animals and land. Our class also enjoyed a DVD on ocean life and saw how all our wonderful ocean creatures live.
On Wednesday evening, we had our Parent/Child Night where the children were eager to share all their great works they accomplish during their days. It was a great night for the parents to experience the hard work and excitement their children are involved in everyday at school. Thank you all for coming. It’s always nice getting to see everyone.
On Thursday, we celebrated Valentine’s Day and exchanged valentine cards with one another. The children decorated cookies to take home and enjoyed a great day of friendships. A special Thank You to our amazing volunteers who helped make this day so memorable.
