Hello parents and welcome to our blog. Thank you for visiting!
This week’s quote:
“The study of love and its utilization will lead us to the source from which it springs, The Child.” – Maria Montessori
On Monday, the children enjoyed watching Chinese dancers in the music room. They were amazed by their strength, acrobatics, and difficult juggling.
This week we finished our studies of the Solar System and discussed what constellations are made of. The Kindergarteners completed their own Solar System project which they laid out the 8 planets in order and labeled each one. They also made a Constellation telescope to look through, and learned how to make a “circle Map” on the Solar System.
We will be celebrating Valentine’s Day on Thursday, February 14th. We will have a Valentine card exchange with the children. We are asking each child to decorate a box at home for collecting their Valentine cards. Decorated boxes should be brought to school on the morning of February 14th. Each child will need to bring 33 Valentines. Please have your child write their name only; Valentines should not be addressed to individual children. Small gifts such as pencils, stickers, etc. are acceptable. Please do not send candy. Thank You!
During the month of February, we will be learning about Australia. If there is anyone who may have visited, has pictures, or makes food from Australia; we would love you to share your information with us.
