Welcome to our blog and thanks for visiting!
This week’s quote:
“What we need is a world full of miracles, like the miracle of seeing the young child seeking work and independence, and manifesting a wealth of enthusiasm and love.” Maria Montessori
The children are settling in nicely once again since the winter break. They’ve been exploring with the new materials and are working on mastering them.
The kindergarteners have been doing lots of reading to our younger friends and have become great role models for them too.
During circle, the children are taking turns leading us through our calendar and the days of the week.
This week we discussed Martin Luther King and how he wanted everyone to be kind to each other. We talked about ways of helping one another in our classroom.
We are continuing to learn about our marvelous Solar System and all the different elements that make up each planet.
Music has become an exciting time for the children. They are learning how to play the xylophones, and having fun with puppets.
During art this week, Ms. Angela shared some special beads with the children that changed colors once the sun hit them. They made necklaces and were very excited to watch them change during recess time!
