Getting Excited for the Holidays!

Hello Parents and Welcome to our blog!!

This week’s Quote:
Education is a natural process carried out by the child and is not acquired by listening to words but by experiences in the environment.” – By Maria Montessori

Last week on Friday, the children celebrated “Pajama Day” – they enjoyed coming to school with their pajamas on and having a sort of “Relaxing Day”- with lots of work 🙂

Cultural studies:

We are continuing to learn about Europe and the many different countries including Italy, France, Germany, Spain, and England.  We discussed the language spoken and worked on finding the different countries on a map.  The children are exploring with the many new works that are related to Europe – coloring maps and related famous landmarks from each country.

Special Visitor:

Ms. Maria – the Spanish Immersion teacher from E3 (lower Elementary classroom) came to our classroom to share pictures, stories, and facts about the famous landmarks in Spain.

Holiday Celebration Sing-A-Long:

We have been working hard on learning our holiday songs for our sing-a-long on Thursday, Dec. 20th @ 10:15-11:100am.  Hope to see you all there!!!

The children are enjoying all the yummy snacks that are being brought in weekly by the parents.  During the month of January and February, there are e few weeks that need to be filled for snack donations.  If interested, please sign up on the snack sheet located outside our classroom door.  Thank you!
